Carmen Rose

A wonderful way to showcase a beautiful rose like  "Memory Lane". A Carmen Rose is a composite flower using the petals from many roses, in this case ten, to create one large bloom. This version is framed by a collar of glossy dark Camelia leaves
The delicately frilled edges of the rose and the subtle colours in the petals impart an air of vintage nostalgia that is enhanced by the simplicity of the design.
Suitable for many occasions or just giving to the one you love.

Sweet Avalanche Shower Bouquet

A gorgeous large garden style shower bouquet using the blush pink large headed "Sweet Avalanche" rose. I have left the guard petals on the roses and grouped them to give a more natural look.

The other floral materials used were, white dendrobium orchids, pink freesia, ivy with berries, eucalyptus, pussy willow, galax leaves and fern leaves..

This is a beautiful natural looking bouquet with lots of movement and impact.

Biedermier or Victorian Posy Bridal Bouquet

A "Biedermier" or Victorian Posy is a formal arrangement popular in the 19th Century is a round or dome shape of concentric circles of plant and flower material and will usually have a rose in the centre. Each circle is a different colour and the bouquets are said to represent everlasting love.

They are becoming fashionable again, in particular for bridesmaids.

They can be constructed by wiring all the materials, using a foam posy holder or as a handtied

This version is for a bride and features cream roses, green hellebores, a white flowered dill and small cream chrysanthemums. the flowers have a fresh country look and the design has been finished with a cream satin bow, some pearl headed pins and a collar of ivy leaves.

Pink Peony Wedding

Peonies are one of the most beautiful and desirable wedding flowers but have a short flowering season usually from mid May to the end of July. Therefore if you want to have them for your wedding it is best to book it between this time when the price is still affordable. They are sometimes available out of season at a premium.

The peonies used for this wedding are called "Mrs Eucid Snow"  It has double petals in a soft pink with stripes of a darker pink in the centre.
This variety lasts a long time in water after cutting.

Also in the design are soft pink large headed carnations which with their delicately frilled petals co-ordinate perfectly with the peonies.
When on a budget this is a great way to supplement more costly blooms.

The table arrangements were handtied bunches in fish bowls and old galvanised watering cans filled with flowers decorated the venue.
